One of the most special and certainly unique points in WinterStorm's favour is its location overlooking the beach and the Firth of Clyde in the west coast town of Troon. The venue itself is within the main town buildings and comprises of three spaces within the building all used to the maximum!
Troon Concert Hall
Troon Concert Hall is situated in the heart of the town centre providing WinterStorm with its main stage venue with a capacity of up to 850, the adjacent Walker Hall which is used as the main chill out area with seating, cafe, small restaurant and merchandise and the South Beach Sessions room featuring the Jagermeister Stage.
Tickets give access to all areas and ticketholders can come and go within and outwith the building as they require by showing the issues wristbands. All areas in the building are easily linked and ther eis no need to leave the building except for Fire Alarms
Subject to final confirmation at the licencing board, the whole building will be licenced and drinks can be taken between rooms. Under 18s have access to all areas with the exception of the South Beach Sessions room and the bar area in the concert hall.
The concert hall is a traditional style venue over two floors with the downstairs accommodation up to 600 standing concert goers and upstairs fixed seating for an additional 250. Over the years the Concert Hall has hosted many famous names from all sorts of musical genres and has seen a number of sell out concerts over the years but we think WinterStorm rocks it best of all!
The main bar is situated in here and will again feature a wide selcetion of wines, spirits, soft drink and the ever popular Real Ale and Craft Beers Bar will be manned this year by a couple fo CAMRA volunteers.

But once again we're going to rock it to the foundations!
Friday Doors Open at 2.00pm this year til midnight (last band finish 11.45pm)
Saturday Doors Open 12 noon til midnight (last band finish 11.45pm)
South Beach Sessions Room
The South Beach Sessions room features the Jagermeister Stage will be open from 5.00 pm on the Friday and from 2pm on the Saturday through until 2am with live music all the way.
If you didn't know this area existed you are in for a treat this year with the quality of some of the bands on the Jagermeister Stage including an acoustic set from the amazing Terry Brock, the superb Black King Cobra and a host of others including the closing after show party til 2am on Saturday into Sunday.
It's a wee hot and sweaty little space overlooking the beach with full PA and lighting and it feels like a 1980's student's union! It's full with 160 bodies so we will be restricting access clearly and will update you on how you can secure access for each band on the page below.
Due to licensing restrictions this room is unfortunately likely to remain over 18s only again this year.
The Walker Hall
The hall sits adjacent to the main concert hall is accessed by linked corridor from the main stage and will provide retail, catering, merchandise and planned workshops throughout the Saturday. As yet an "unsponsered" space for 2018 but this area will provide the quieter area and has in the first two years become the social hub for meeting bands, old friends, new mates, buying a WinterStorm Pie or two and is also the area for WinterStorm and Bands' merchandise.
We are looking at widening the catering options this year and we'll keep you up ot date with that as we get closer to the date.
There are separate Cloakroom facilities designed into the venue and are run by the volunteers of the RNLI.
These will remain open until midnight on both nights and a minimum charge of £1 per item or a donation will be applied with funds going directly to the charity and againTroon RNLI have kindly agreed to run this for 2017. It can also be used for safe storage of merchandise but please note the usual caveats apply.
