Rock Radio Provide Soundtrack to the weekend
WinterStorm have announced that the between set music will be provided via the test streaming of Rock Radio ahead of their pending relaunch.
Ian McCaig of WinterStorm explained,
“When we started listening to the test broadcasts last week on TuneIn it just seemed so obvious that we should be using the playlists as the music between bands and in the second hall. Tom Russell is going to be compering the weekend ahead of his own return to the airwaves and we hope this cements our support of the new station.
A successful Scottish station such as Rock Radio can only be good for the independent live music scene in Scotland working with events and promoting new music in smaller venues. We have found it incredibly difficult to get any national coverage for WinterStorm and look forward to working closely with Rock Radio in the future to build a professional relationship.”
Tom Russell agreed,
“I had a superb weekend last year at the first WinterStorm and like so many rock fans across the west of Scotland I am looking forward so much to year two and a superb line up in Troon. It fits so well with the ethos of everything we are trying to do with Rock Radio and is deserving of support.
I’ll be there on the stage and also signing my book in between live acts. Did I tell you I had a book out?”
You can not only hear Rock Radio test broadcasts at WinterStorm but also all day every day by using the TuneIn app or via the Rock Radio website
