Bernie Torme Cancels WinterStorm Appearance

20/09/2017

It's with the greatest of regret that we have to announce that Bernie Torme is unable to perform at this year's WinterStorm.

We were notified last night (19th September) and wanted to get the statement from Bernie and his agent which we have now received. We will keep you up to date with the plans for replacing Bernie on stage. I know many, like me, were really looknig forward to the segment on the Saturday featuring Bernie, Rock Goddess and Tygers of Pan Tang and it'll be a miss for many but we'll now work towards an appropriate replacement.

"We are very sorry to tell you that will not be appearing at this year’s Winterstorm 2017. Due to circumstances beyond out of our control in connection with vanishing adjoining shows, we are unable to play Winterstorm as a one-off.

We are really gutted about this, and have tried everything to get around this everyday we could think of and make it logistically feasible: fact is, try as we might, we haven’t.

The band & I sincerely apologize to Ian McCaig especially, Winterstorm, and to all of you for this clusterfuckup on our part: we would have loved to have been part of it and see old friends. We are also really pissed off to be missing all the absolutely killer bands Ian has lined up!

We hope you all have a great festival, well we know you will, its a fantastic line-up in a fantastic place.

We apologize again for our absence: we hope to see all of you again sometime: at the very least we owe all of you a drink!"
