Jagermeister South Beach Sessions Stage
The Sessions Stage with its eclectic mix of acoustic folk, local bands, bits of the blues and americana has been the unforeseen hit of WinterStorm. It provides a little sanctuary with seating and a view over the beach and some wonderful music. With its own bar and stage this area will once again offer free admission to over 18s who may be in town and looking for some of the best of Ayrshire’s musical talent with 2017 featuring more than twenty live perormances from Ken O’Hara, the superb Mandula & Hephzibah to the punk folk style of Losing Ground.
This stage is once agian brought to WinterStorm with the support of Jagermeister and it truly ofers a line up that would be hard to beat in a single venue let alone when sitting alongside the Main Stage of WinterStorm and to repeat - IT'S FREE!!
The Jägermeister Stage is open til midnight both nights. We watched what was happening last year and decided that Friday til 2am with a midday to start with the follwoing day was too much even for the commited but on Saturday it will againtransform to the After Show Party and feature some notable or another on the stage and licennce permitting it'll be on til 2am again.
Ian McCaig of WinterStorm,
“This is a wonderful space with views right across the beach towards Arran and it’s a unique way to enjoy some food and drink listening to the very best of new local talent and not just rock based. There were more than fifteen acts scheduled in last year and we expect some surprise performances form the main bands too again this year! Bands such as Redwood Ridge or Spleen reached new audiences and it was a gret atmosphere. It’s also completely free, full stage, PA and lights and Bar managed by The Harbour Bar team.”
Opening from 4pm on Friday and midday on Saturday the room will be a mix of quiet acoustic and more raucous rock space until midnight and then from midnight until 2am on the Saturday it will morph into a classic rock based after show party with DJ and quite possibly the odd artiste on an open mic or two!
