Glass Tiger Cancellation
It is with the greatest regret that we have to announce the loss of Glass Tiger from the line up for WinterStorm 2021.
The band had been booked to appear for the 2020 dates alongside appearances in mainland Europe and this made the slot at WinterStorm viable for everyone. However given the current situation it has proved impossible to reschedule the European visit for 2021 and as a result the band have had to pull out of the Scottish date too.
Alan Frew said last night,
“It was with genuine sadness that we have had to pull out of this date as we were looking forward to getting back to Scotland particularly after the year we’ve all had but unfortunately the circumstances have defeated us and there is no way that we can make it work this year. We are already in discussions about the logistics of putting together European dates and we’ll see what we can do for 2022. In the meantime please stay safe and we will see you all as soon as we possibly can.”
From a WinterStorm perspective, we are incredibly disappointed but fully understand the reasons. Glass Tiger would have added another and different dynamic to the Friday night and indeed the short history of WinterStorm but it’s not to be and we shall work on the rescheduling of the line up for future announcement. We have already pledged to give an update at the end of April as to how we see things progressing and the final decisions on all aspects of the 2021 event will be outlined three months before curtain up at the end of August.
We do not plan to make any announcements on band replacements until we are sure that no further changes will be made. We’d prefer to pull everything together at the one time and hope that you understand our reasons and thank you all again for your support.
